Convert MOD Files to WMV

Unfortunately, there is no direct and easy way to convert MOD files created by the JVC Everio by using CyberLink PowerDirector to WMV video file format. CyberLink PowerDirector will allow the MOD files to be converted to .AVI or .MPG files through the following steps:

  1. Open CyberLink PowerDirector (Duh)
  2. Import the .MOD files that you want to convert to lAVI or .MPG.
  3. Add all of your .MOD files to the timeline (or) If you want to create individual .AVI or .MPG files, add the .MOD files to the timeline individually.
  4. Once your timeline is finalized, Click “Produce”
  5. Now select Save to File
  6. Finally Select .AVI or .MPG and select the directory that you’d like your file stored to. Note that when converting multiple .MOD files, CyberLink PowerDirector will combine the .MOD files into a single .AVI or .MPG file.

Once you have created your .AVI or .MPG files from your .MOD files, you can use a program like Windows Media Encoder or WinAVI Video Converter to convert the .AVI or .MPG files to .WMV Window Media Video files.
